First European conference devoted to minority and local media organized by Heror Media Pont, Giacomelli media, Center for Developement of minority and local Media, Magyar Szó, Association of Media in Serbia, in cooperation with MIDAS and Faculty of Management will be held in Novi Sad on November 16th and 17th.
The goal of First European Conference devoted to minority and local media is to improve the informing of minority communities and intercultural dialogue between media of minority communities in Europe, local and national media through the presence of the content of minority media presented in local and national media, as well as the exchange of the best practice of publishing in the process of digitalization and the existing demographic and social changes, with a special focus on the possibility of developing the city of Novi Sad, as the European capital of culture in 2021 and the contribution of minority and local media to the cohesion of the society.
A European Conference devoted to minority and local media is a communicational project, which,on the one hand, contributes to the development and to better integration of minority and local media in the public, with whom they communicate, and on the other hand, it makes a complete system in the five-years-process with the ECC Novi Sad in 2021 as one of the most ambitious existing projects of the Republic of Serbia, which by its realization contributes to the mapping of Novi Sad and the entire region, as a desirable place for a living and working.
The European Conference devoted to minority and local media is one-of-a-kind European event, which connects minority and local media to other sectors and contributes the minority media to become one of significant protagonist in the better quality reporting.
ECC Novi Sad in 2021 is a project, that has a long-term possibility to integrate the whole region both culturally and economically. Partnership collaboration and coaction on the developing of the new values and quality between minority and local media, but also of a strong message that ECC Novi Sad in 2021 brings with itself is a contribution of this conference as a know-how for minority and local media throughout Europe.
